Today marks the release day for two of my favorite books this year….

First is Melissa de la Cruz’s WITCHES OF EAST END

Also today marks the release of another fave of mine. A Need So Beautiful is such a fantastic read, and I’ll tell you why: It’s got a great, sweet sexy boy. It’s got a truly unique take on a well known myth (and that is all I’m saying because it’s so incredibly GOOD!) And also because I cried so hard!

Kelsey and I had such a good time last night meeting Lauren Kate at the Alpharetta Barnes & Noble and interviewing her about her new book PASSION!

She was so sweet and soft spoken! She took the time to answer our questions and after her reading (of quite a funny passage!) she answered a lot of the reader’s questions!

I’d Like You to Meet Maureen Johnson and Sarah Mlynowski

These ladies need no introduction! You must be living under a rock if you don’t know who Maureen Johnson is of Twitter fame! Or Sarah Mlynowski who’s well known published and bestselling author!

We were at the Decatur’s own indie of fame, Little Shop of Stories, where the authors were introduced and they went on ahead and entertained.

And by entertained I mean…

Maureen reading the most hilarious passage in her book about a man with cats who might or might not be killing them to build a shed over their car.
Sarah reading a passage about waking up with the wrong boy after a wild party at her friend’s house right before her parent come into town to visit. How will she clean up a tornado in less then 20 minutes?

Sarah saying her crit partner E. Lockhart helps her steam up the smoochy scenes and sometimes actually writing THE hottest scene in her book.

Sarah was so charming and sweet! The audience enjoyed listening to her round about road to publication. Where she gets her inspiration from. And overall, she was a pleasure to listen to!

Maureen… as many of you who follow her on twitter know, is HILARIOUS.

We loved listening to them and in the signing line we were able to chat with them a little more and get our books signed!

I mean how cute are these two ladies???

I really had a blast meeting them and loved hearing about their books. I will without a doubt pick these up to read!

It is past 3am and I am browsing for music and I come across this gem.

First. Her voice is beautiful. It has a bit of a Barbara Streisand feel to it. So deep and heavy.
Second. She’s gorgeous!
Third. This video is brilliantly done. So beautiful. And I can keep watching over and over.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Alyson when I toured last year on SMART CHICKS KICK IT tour!  (check out Smart Chicks 2.0)! She is such a sweet bubbly person that you just can’t help infectiously laughing with her!
